GDC görevlileri adayların ve şeref ödülü alan oyunların listesini açıkladı. Firewatch, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Dishonored 2, Inside ve Overwatch yılın oyununa aday olmuşken, Doom 3 dalda yarışıyor. Pokemon Go çok çabuk sönmüş olsa bile Doom ile birlikte 3 dalda aday gösterilmiş. Tam liste aşağıda, GDC ise şubatta toplanacak. Bir önceki yılın oyunu ödülünü ise Witcher 3'ün aldığını hatırlarsak bu sene oldukça çekişmeli görünüyor.
